Demonstration Against the Antisemitic "Quds March" in Berlin

For Solidarity with Israel and with the Iranian and Syrian democratic opposition!

S
aturday, 2nd of July 2016
Start of the demonstration: 12: 30 PM at Joachimsthaler Str. / Kurfürstendamm
End 2: 30 PM George-Grosz-Platz

Appeal

The "Quds day” (Quds=Jerusalem in Arabic) is an Iranian national holiday for the destruction of Israel.* The "Quds-Day" was introduced in 1979 by Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of the Iranian revolution. To this day, this central aim (the destruction of Israel) of the regime has not changed. In Iran, mass rallies are organized by the Iranian regime, and slogans are "death to Israel" and "death to the United States".

In Berlin, circles close to the Iranian regime and the Iranian Hezbollah, Nazis and antizionist Leftists are organizing a Berlin version of the "Quds-March". The demonstration this year takes place in Berlin on July, the 2nd.

It is intolerable that it is possible to march for the destruction of the largest Jewish community in the world - Israel - in the midst of Berlin. Antisemitism is the pivotal point of the Iranian leaders and determines its politics. The Iranian regime continues to threaten Israel with destruction, they go as far as writing “Israel must be annihilated” on their missiles, as happened in March 2016.

The Iranian „Quds-brigades“ are responsible for terror around the world, e.g. by financing and supporting the terror militia Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran also cooperates with the dictator Assad in Syria and thereby keeps him in power. In Syria the Iranian regime is responsible for the crimes against humanity, which cost the lives of half a million people and ultimately caused millions to look for rescue in Europe.

At the same time Iranian leaders keep on repressing their own people: women, homosexuals, national minorities, critics and people of different faiths are being prosecuted, arrested, tortured and killed. So the so called ‘moderate’ Hassan Rouhani has been overseeing more executions than his predecessor Ahmadinejad. Amnesty International has registered about 1000 executions in 2015, that is the highest number of executions per capita.

Therefore, we find it scandalous that Germany is pushing trade relations with Iran. German top politicians keep on traveling to Iran or host Iranian officials in Germany to stimulate the economy. German politicians did not even hesitate while there was a Holocaust-Cartoon Competition taking place in Iran, hosted by Iranian government officials. Leading Iranian politicians regularly deny that the Holocaust took place.

In our opinion appeasement is not the way to deal with despots. On the contrary: The Iranian regime gets even closer to building an atomic bomb to destruct Israel as well as continue their terror internally as well as externally. We call upon all politicians of the Bundestag and the Parliament of Berlin as well as the civil society to join us in condemning the antisemitic Quds march!

We demand:

  • a ban of the antisemitic Quds march in Berlin

  • a ban of the terror organization Hezbollah

  • an end to the appeasement with the terror regime in Iran

  • solidarity with the Syrian and Iranian democratic opposition in exile

  • solidarity with Israel

 * we condemn any xenophobic and racist remarks.
